Grandmaster Tanemura is a true traditional martial arts master. Having trained in martial arts for most of his life, he first began martial arts training at the age of nine. First taught by his uncle and his father, the latter of which was a 17th generation head of a samurai lineage.
He later would serve 15 years in the Tokyo Police Department, leaving to keep alive and teach true Ninpo martial arts. His time serving as a police officer, helped to develop his skill and refine his skills in a real defense environment.
In 1984, he organized and created the Genbukan organization to accomplish his mission of offering the world true martial arts and preserving true Ninpo (Ninjutsu).
Today, he has students all across the world. His students travel both to Japan and wherever he is teaching to learn, bringing these lessons back to their students.
Mark Bramble was first introduced to martial arts as a child at the age of 8. However, it was not until he was 15 that he would begin training in a martial art that would change his life. In 1991 a friend introduced to him a school about an hour away teaching Ninpo.
After a year had passed, he began assisting at the Dojo and often training six to seven days a week. During the next ten years in addition to regular training, he also trained in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Aikido, and Aiki-jujutsu.
In 2000, after attaining the rank of Godan under his original instructor, and after deep reflection, he decided to search for a more direct lineage to his Ninpo training. After training with various teachers, he found his home in the Genbukan organization.
In 2006, Mark became a personal student of Soke Tanemura, receiving the Dojo name of 'Bansenshukai', which means 'All The Worlds Rivers Collect In The Sea'. Mark has been honored to travel both nationally and internationally, including to Japan, to train in the Genbukan.
He opened the first Ninpo Dojo in the State of Delaware in 2007, teaching students from all over the Tri-State area. In 2009 he moved to the Central Florida area with his wife Joy. It is his plan to grow a strong Genbukan presence on the East Coast.
Mark's current rankings include:
